Get Published

I've been stamping for over 20 years, and have submitted in A LOT of Creations, and A LOT have NOT been published. I started way back, when there was Rubber Stamper magazine, Vamp Stamp News, and before Take Ten.
Stampers Sampler had a segment in every issue called Take Ten. It was so popular, they created the Take Ten magazine.
I was published once in VSN, but got discouraged and quit sending.

As I started getting closer to age 60, getting published was at the top of my bucket list, so I started submitting again, and in March 2014 I was published in Stampers Sampler 20th Anniversary magazine. WHAT A RUSH!
You can see my cards here

That's all it took, to get hooked,. Now I'm a submitting stamping addict, but I don't want an intervention. I still get a rush every time I receive my complimentary copy. (By the way...you don't know if you're published until you receive your comp copy. I have had some cards show up almost 2 years after submission...SURPRISE!)

What I've learned
Have you noticed in Take Ten and Stampers Sampler, the cards shown on each page, coordinate, or blend? I send 3-5 cards that have the same theme and the colors compliment each other. Theme can be layout design, technique, or all cat related, coffee theme, etc.

Both Take Ten, and Stampers Sampler have “ a Different Point of View” where you use one stamp to make several creations...I suggest submitting 4-5 cards or tags

Both Take Ten, and Stampers Sampler have a Tempting Template in each issue. Here is a sample:

Both Take Ten, and Stampers Sampler prefer stamped images, NOT digital. Just Cards, and Scrap & Stamp Arts do publish digi image creations

When you submit make sure you have on the Back of each card:
  • Instructions
  • Products/Supplies usedl
  • Give your card a title
  • Have your name and email on each card
  • I also include another full sheet of all info on all cards, and all my contact info

There are other Crafting magazines, but these are the ones I have been published in
I hope you found this helpful, and encouraging, so submit, and Good Luck!
